Albergo Centrale is perfectly situated just a short stroll from the iconic Piazza del Campo and the Duomo, making it incredibly convenient for sightseeing. The room was spacious and beautifully updated, featuring an en suite bathroom with a large walk-in shower and plenty of hot water. It was exceptionally quiet at night, ensuring a restful sleep after a day of exploring. Plus, having access to a Nespresso machine in the lobby was a delightful bonus for coffee lovers!

The only drawback was the lack of an elevator, requiring a climb up five flights of stairs.

Well-located near major historical sites, making wandering the city simple. Rustic-style rooms maintain reasonable cleanliness, and two rooms have balconies that provide pleasant views, adding charm to the stay.

Access requires climbing four flights of narrow stairs without an elevator, which can be a challenge for those with heavy luggage or limited mobility. The bathroom needs significant attention. a non-potable water warning is present, a dated shower leaks, and the towels are thin and worn. Maid service is lacking. old towels were not replaced, and floors remained uncleaned during our stay.

It's misleading that there's no mention of the fourth-floor access only via stairs!!! The cleanliness could improve, especially for the bathroom and floor tiles, which gave an unkempt feel.

Albergo Centrale offers a great location just two blocks from the Campo and the Palazzo Publico, making it ideal for sightseeing. The staff is exceptionally helpful, providing tourist information and assistance with transportation. The rustic-style rooms are reasonably clean, with two rooms even featuring pleasant balconies that provide nice views of the medieval architecture.

The lack of an elevator and limited maid service were notable drawbacks.

this hotel is so overrated, they don’t even mention that you have to go up four flights of stairs. and the shower gel? One tiny bottle per person, seriously? ! I woudl ve been more impressed if I had received a complimentary upgrade or at least a welcome gift for my troubles. I almost gave a good review, but just couldn’t.

i previously stayed in siena and this time decided on albergo centrale for a peaceful break. the location was perfect, just a short walk from piazza del campo and the room was comfortable and clean. the terrace was a lovely bonus for relaxing after exploring the city.
